My most treasured posessions are my photographs.
I believe this is why I am a photographer. I can't think of anything more satisfying than taking photographs that document a family's history, and helping my clients preserve the fleeting moments in this precious life for generations. Whether collected in scrapbooks or displayed in a series of mis-matched frames on the wall, it's a joy for me to capture those frame-worthy portraits and candid snapshots. The birth of my son in 2007 made me value my camera even more. I photograph him often because I want to remember everything.
Falling in love with photography was an easy thing to do. I can still remember the first print I developed in my 11th grade photography class. Once the image appeared under those amber lights, I was hooked. After graduation, I landed a full-time job at a local photo studio. I worked days there, while studying photography at Macomb Community College at night. With eight wonderful years of studio experience under my belt, I decided I wanted to stay home and start a business of my own after my son was born.
Ever since my older sisters started having kids, I knew I wanted to focus on baby and child photography. Children have this magic and wonder about them, which makes photographing them so much fun. I photograph newborns often and love seeing how much they grow between photo shoots. I enjoy developing relationships with families that start with a baby's birth and continue as I photograph the child as he or she grows. I would be honored to be able to contribute to your family's scrapbook and capture those precious moments for you and your family to enjoy for the years to come.
